We are a family of 6 people, 5 dogs and several cats. We live in beautiful south central Kentucky near Lake Cumberland. My husband and I are both retired Licensed Clinical Social Workers and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselors. My husband retired in 1991 as the Clinical Services Director for the Adanta Group, after almost 25 years in the field due to serious health problems. I retired in 2004 from The Adanta Group after 22 years, my last 13 years as the Director of Child & Family Services. Following my retirement I was a part-time Independent Contractor doing consultative/coaching work for the Kentucky Department of Mental Health/Developmental Disabilities and Addictions-Kentucky Youth First initiative. Currently I work with Active Duty Service Members at Ft. Campbell Army Post experiencing substance use problems.
We spent our days enjoying the antics of our dogs, planning for football season and supporting our children! We have four boys ( 1 still at home) who are all busy finishing school/college or starting their "adult" life. Our life comes to a screeching halt in the fall as we have one son attending school and playing football at The Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Our youngest son is a High School Senior playing football for the Southwestern High School Football Warriors in Somerset, Kentucky. Many weekends are spent cheering on our boys. My oldest son is in Birmingham, Alabama working for the Army Corps of Engineers. My other middle son is still trying to find his calling in life.
In addition to our bulldog activities we support the Southwestern Football Boosters through volunteering our time. We are also members of the Ohio Bobcat Club. I previously served as Vice-President and Treasurer of the Kentucky Chapter National Association of Social Work. Graves was a Board Member on the Kentucky Board for Alcohol & Drug Certification.
